Ding!

Finally I Googled and found the name of that cartoon I watched when I was little, the one with the caterpillar and the bear and the old professor travelling in a hot air balloon. I tried to elicit it from friends and they couldn't recall it either. And I kept forgetting to Google it. Until today!

Behold, one of my favourite cartoons, The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin!

I remember the laugh of the caterpillar (Grubby), deep and goofy, and the old professor (Newton Gimmick) who stuttered like Porky Pig and Teddy who had a gentle voice, almost girly. Unless I remember wrong.

Doesn't matter, at least I found the name of the cartoon. It is SO satisfying to find it, I can almost hear the bell go 'ding!' AND I want to shout "THAT'S it!" throwing a fist in the air.
Now I'm sure there was a sci-fi series with a man and a chimp in it, but NO ONE recalls any such thing and I can't find it on Google! 70s or 80s production... anyone out there can help me?
