Before I go on about how it's affected my sanity, how did they come to this conclusion? Well, to cut a long story short, astrological calculations have been adjusted due to the moon's recent gravitational pull to the Earth's equator. Astrologers have even added a new sign to the zodiac set, something called Ophiucus (oh FEE uh kus). To add to the confusion of it all, this zodiac sign has always existed, but because astrologers couldn't agree, it was never included in the zodiac. So someone has been missing out all this time, and I was never a Virgo anyway.
So according to the Minnesota Planetarium Society, these are the new dates for the zodiac:
Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.
Pisces: March 11-April 18.
Aries: April 18-May 13.
Taurus: May 13-June 21.
Gemini: June 21-July 20.
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.
Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17.
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.
Pisces: March 11-April 18.
Aries: April 18-May 13.
Taurus: May 13-June 21.
Gemini: June 21-July 20.
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.
Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17.
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.
I'll be honest, I never thought I believed in horoscopes (so vague and general and they never come true). I am what I am. It's stupid to say that the world's 6.1 billion population are really just 12 types of people. But clearly, I believe in it a little bit, because now that they say I'm not a Virgo, I'm all - "that can't be, I'm not at all flamboyant and 'out there' as them Leos!" and "I don't want to be a Leo!"
No offence to all Leos out there, I'm sure you're all lovely and not attention-seeking.
But I've always associated myself with Virgo traits. Diligent, practical, analytical, over-critical, conservative, fussy. I've read personality descriptions of Virgos that fit me to a tee, and now I'm told, actually, that's not me.
But, I am thinking - no wonder my horoscopes never come true, my sign was wrong all this time!
Is having been the wrong sign the cause of my failed relationships? Not that I date by star sign, but to be sure, but I've checked past relationships to see if the boys and I were a match made in heaven. And when they ended or didn't happen, I could be assured it was because it was all in the stars.
Well, I'm up for finding out about this new zodiac sign, and what it all means to be a Leo, the sign that I should've/could've been all this time. Time to take another look at the relationships that failed and the current running relationships. Time to look and see if I'm in the right job, and check if Leo jobs tempt me. There are wardrobe makeovers to be had. New boys to date.
What sign are you now?

Still a Taurus. Phew. I don't think I can handle anymore changes. (ya that's SO Taurean...)
